hi Guys
down in Perth on Monday 16th and want to kite.
Where will the best place be and do I need to hire a car or can I catch a bus or train. I am staying in the CBD.
Will bring a Switchblade 12m will it be enough.
Don't know the conditions so any help will be appreciated.
Cheers rich

Gray,

the river @ Pelican Point, near the University of WA, Nedlands, would be the closest spot. Use whereis.com. Bus + reasonable walk should bring you there. Also, anywhere along the ocean coast. Just be aware that regulations exist at Pelican Point, Cottesloe and Leighton Beach. Refer to the WAKSA Perth Site Guides on the web.

Little wind on Monday though...

Have fun!

I'd keep away from peli point personally. It gets croweded with mainly newbs and really has nothing much going for it.If your confident in the ocean, hire a car, there are heaps of beaches from woodman point(south of freo)to mullaloo.(or even further north)Just go for a drive along the coast and you will soon find the popular spots. If you cant afford a car, jump on your first bus to scarborough beach but be sure to kite well away from the swimming zone, either south of main beach(brighton)or north(contacios)Not much swell(or wind) at the moment, but hope you can get a a good kite in.

if you kite down at scarborough and your well away from the swimming zone as karl said you should be fine
but if a swimmer or surfer gets in your way just spray them and theyll get the message
