G'day all

I'm new to the forum, so be gentle. :)
I am going to head to thailand for a fortnight and plan on learning to kite while im over there. So killing two birds with one stone, having a holiday and mainly learning to kite.
So where in Thailand would people recommend would be a great place to learn. Ive looked at the various websites, and chapung and koh samui seem to be the main ones.
Any one have any suggestions?
