I love the Melbourne AWS...its such a wacky idiosyncratic metering point....
For example, right now it is pointing South and showing 4 to 8 knots.
Fawkner is N 13-15
Melbourne Airport is N 16-22
Moorabin NNE 8-11
The only meter showing any south at all is Avalon at ESE.

Does anyone know where this meter is kept? In the BOM underground carpark? Or is it affected by the rotating propellors on the heads of the meteorologists?
