Anyone used a helmet mountable video camera that they would recommend?
For example i found this one:

which is pretty cheap, but i'm not sure if it will give you wide enough angle.

I'm looking for something small, with wide angle, and not too expensive...

Cheers

Hey superlizard do you need a water proof set up or just for helmet mounted footage in skydiving we use mainly sony pc or hc camcorders with mini dv(they are nearly bulletproof) as hard drive camcorders tend to not go so well with G forces as for wide angle depends on how close you want to film if you just want wide angle shot from far maybe a .5 -.42 or for extreme close up with wide angle .3 but you have to be filming pretty close I set up a camera helmet for under $400 camera lens and helmet that I make professional skydive videos with! You can also change lenses to suit what you are filming but it just depends on what kind of filming you doin!

I use a ATC 2k, very small, stores on a sd card, runs off 2 aa batteries, you can mount on helmet, kite etc, comes with all straps and leads. Look on ebay, I paid £75GBP which is around $175AU including postage from USA, They normally post from states to worldwide. Great video quality, shocked me how good it was, waterproof to 3m. If I knew how to put picture/video's on here I would show you a clip from mine.

Got them on AU ebay for $199. Get one you will not be dissapointed

Got them on USA ebay for $129US postage $29.99 to AU
