yep, sucked in hard, move to perth, see everyone going nuts kiting, think "hey that looks good perth's heaps windy" buy gear and BANG no wind

well i didnt look at the forecast as a matter of principle but im sure they will accidentally get it right some day.

just a note for all you who winge about the forecast i can tell you this, the mega forecast page shows you all the info you need to work out what its going to be any way. i find my own prediction to be more often than not better than boms

the wind at melville wasn't too bad after 5pm so i managed to have an alright'ish kite today.

It was blowing when I left... did I take the wind away with me again?

It's been blowing nicely on the northwest shelf for the past week or more.

Don't worry, I'm back soon, I'll try to bring it back with me.

seabreeze wind charts (BOM?) are usually right - except if its forecasting very hot conditions 34c+ then even if it shows a seebreeze - there probably wont be much of one.

to quote nicolas cage - in the weatherman - 'its wind, it just ****ing blows, we dont know where'

yeah scarbs is not bad, bit too green to go kiting there yet, couldn't head out yesterday we were at the BDO. perths wicked, don't want to leave
