Serious?
I kited with a wakeboard for probably the last 7 or so years... The only difference with the board I have now and a wakeboard is that it has a better rocker line and wider tips for added pop, but besides that it's essentially the same thing (as are almost all kiteboards). Also it depends on what wakeboard you are talking about, they vary as much as surfboards and some of them would suck behind a kite.
Out of interest, what wakeboards did you ride?
I snapped my old kiteboard the other week, and wanted to ride the next day so thought i'd give the wakeboard a crack. Its a pretty old (2005/06ish?) Hyperlite Era 142, with about 6.8cm rocker, 3 stage. The pop was fine, but it was bloody hard to go up wind with. I'm thinking a newer wakeboard, with a continuous rocker might be better for kiting, but I dunno?
Ended up buying one of your axis Tranqs on the weekend, and for similar size boards, the difference between that and my old wakeboard is amazing. Rode the same location, in basically the same winds. So much less effort to go upwind, and far nicer on the knees in the chop.
