Awesome! Thanx everyone for helping out, and Laurie for this site which makes the kite community so close-knit.
The carton goes to the fisherman who dragged my kite onto his boat which must've been a pain in the arse, what with the bar and lines still attached. And I think Choicey deserves a 6 pack too.

i think the rate is a carton at least for all involved. com on its a $2000 kite that u just got back. very lucky but...... id go buy ba lotto ticket mate.
