Why is it so hard to find a used trainer kite?
I've placed a wanted add on the forums but I've been
Searching for weeks with no success, every time I ring after seeing an add they're always sold!!
If anyone can point me in the right direction as far as where I can get one easily it would be appreciated!!

Hey Joe, new year greetings to you also. Have had two trainer kites , still have one, but in my experience a six or seven meter with halved lines gives a much better feel for the flight of a kite. Trainers very fast across the wind window and tend to yank the flier around to much.

Couldn't sell mine even if I wanted too. Handing it to mates over the years to learn on has turned the old ozone imp into a massive thrashed sock, with several busted channels in it.. Still flys, not well.. Dog won't even chase it any more!

I kept mine for a long time on the off chance I will get my kids interested but alas I only ended up using it in light winds for a bit of fun. they get boring after about 10 minutes of endless looping and do not resemble a real kite feel in the slightest, except if the wind is cranking then it becomes plain weird that a 2m foil can pull you.

I just picked up a 5m lei for teaching my kids if I ever get around to it, if not then it will be there for a 40 knot day.
