Why are we kiters so insecure and opinionated about our sport? Do we all have such low self esteem that we have to bag others to make ourselves feel good?

We worry what surfers think of us.

We bag poleys.

We bag SUPers (my favourite!)

We bag each other about.....

Twintips in the surf
Staying hooked in in the surf
Dangling
Using straps on surfboards
Riding waves upwind
Using bow kites
Using C kites
Using foils
Using 5 lines
Learning on a trainer
Using a seat harness
Self launching
Self landing
Wearing kite pants
Poo stance
Kite above 45 degrees

When I started kiting everyone shared the stoke. Everyone had huge grins after an epic session and no-one cared what style you followed as long as you got wet. Seabreeze posts were all about helping noobies, finding gear and having a laugh.

It's time we got back to that. Keep the stoke. Keep the grins. There is no only way.

It's the caravan parky syndrome .If you put too many pepole in close proximity tales wag and ya thongs get flogged and ya children grow up to be lovers!

dunno, i've always been insecure about everything. Maybe that's what attracted me to kiting?

I don't care who the best or worst kiters are. As long as i can pump up at my local and have a good time without getting kooked on by someone I'm happy as.
