Why do kiteboards have warranty ?

Keeping in mind how they are used and abused,

How they are treated with the utmost contempt,

I guess it must be said how incredibly generous it is of the manufacturers,

to offer any kind of warranty for breakage.

Remember, surfboards for pure surfing have no warranty.

If you snap a surfboard while surfing, it's considered to be par-for-the-course.

Perhaps the best poem yet posted in the general kiting forum. It's like Ewan McTeagle meets Les Murray, with hints of Basho. I'm not saying I think it's derivative, just that these are the poets evoked for me as I read this fine piece.

Kiteboards have warranty mainly for manufacturer defects. Kiteboards are also a lot more expensive than anything else. Also if you're brand wants return customers having a decent customer service/ care system is of the upmost importance, especially if you're competitors are offering it.

Perhaps that helps troll lord.

I read it more as blank verse with a nod to haiku inflections.

Lets say you ran over your own new twinny in the car park, or you shredded the bottom on some rocks after which the board broke. Wouldnt you expect warranty and a replacement.

Well thats the sort of stuff I got confronted with as a brand rep.

Bit over the top for boards BUT
At Kite Surf SUP we offer a full 12 month "unconditional" warranty on any new kite purchase.
That does include running over it with a bulldozer or shredding to pieces on the rocks.
And if it cant be repaired we will supply the closest latest equavalent at cost price.

That's fair.

It gives you a whole month to fully cane the sh1t out of a new stick.

You know,

kiteboard abuse comes in many forms.

Even wearing a leggie can stress-out a board.

Under pressure,

if the leggie doesn't snap,

the board just might.

Load it up and put it to the test.

The weak link in the chain is often the rider himself.

I guess your customers are lucky and some shop slogans say the customer is always right.
But I belive that Gen Y kid who got handed $1000 by his mum to buy a new toy and doesnt look after it needs some education
