Hi FNQ Kiters. I am heading up to Port Douglas for a holiday end of September and was hoping to find some links to monitor the weather and also to look at historical data for that time of year.

Could someone please post some links that they use.

I use the www.bom.gov.au/vic/forecasts/portphillip.shtml for Port Philip Bay. You mentioned using bom.gov.au for Port Douglas as well, are you able to post the actual link. I have tried navigating their website, but can't find anything definitive.

Also Seabreeze - which coverage is the coverage for Port Douglas? I presume just use the Cairns graphs.

Low Ilses is the closest point to Port Douglas, but bear in mind it is a little offshore so out in a stronger trade flow.

The AIMS weather station at Agincourt Reef.

Out at the edge of the shelf opposite Port Douglas.

Buoyweather is my personal choice for the forecasting side of it, but you have to subscribe for the longer range material...worth it though IMHO.

and of course the best one of all....

...go down the beach and have a look at the whitecaps, and put up your choice of wind weapon!!
