These are quality USA made/warranteed instruments. I dont think you can get units like these in Oz? Hand held, Waterproof & floats, digital display of current speed, averages/time & gusts in knots or kph or mph etc etc.. 1 yatchy & 1 kiter already told me they are the go - no problem
I want 1 but have 2 to buy 5 to make the deal & cover freight etc.
Cost will be about but under $100 AUS. ($88 + Oz add ons ??)

to SteveCar - brand name is Kestral - info I have is they are (at the very least) perfectly OK but really dont know for sure myself ?
(but paulG has one and he too reckons its just great)
to everyone else - it seems i will be able to order 1 only item on a pay-b-4-they-send basis so will be doing that in a day or two unless anyone else lets me know they want one beforehand.

Phil, I think I paid for mine up front as well. Didn't have any problems with Stamp Duty. The package is very small and they put a value of about $20 on the contents so it came in without any hassle.
They do sell them here in boat shops for about $200. (Bias Marine) Just reinforces the fact that we get ripped off in this country when you can buy gear on the net for half the price.
Will be at Melville tomorrow if you want to have a play of mine.

BUT what about today ?? should be 15+kn - more than enough!
