Hi,
I have to provide a bit of feedback to the AIMS (Australian Institute of Marine Science) regarding the weather station and little website they provided during the event.
Did you think it was usefull?
What kind of info were crucial, and others not so important? would you have liked to see anything else on it?
Also, I forgot to take a picture of the set up... would anyone have a picture of the set up, and people looking at it?
thanks,
En

It's great. Wish it was there all year round. Is that possible?

YEp thought it was great idea
It give us something to look at ;)

Obviously if ur at the beach u can see for your self what it is but as the wind was light it was great to be able to leave the comp site and keep an eye on any possible changes incase it was worth rushing back

If doing at any future event Laurie might even be interested in putting up a temp graph if he can access the data.
I think this was done for a sailing championship in Perth last year

I thought it was great!

One thing i would add to it tho would be a time on the max and minimum gusts so that you could see if the max gust was relevant to what was happening at the time or not.

But yes very helpful

thanks guys for the feedback!
if anyone has pictures, I would love one :0)
Also, the Australian Institute of Marine Science (AIMS) is talking about making a more "portable" version of the weather station to send it around the country for events as kiting events, still with a website for it.
I will keep AKSA and Seabreeze in the loop if it happens ;0)
cheers,
