Does anyone know the best time of the year or the "wind season" to kite in Fiji and where its also warm enough for a family holiday?

Pretty much our winter months. Trade winds kick off around June from memory with best bets being around July/August.

Yep our winter months, perfect to escape the gloomy winter and head to a nice 15-20 knots most days in a tropical setting.

Definately worth it.

we went last year - last week in july- no wind and the first week of august - great wind. we went with 2 under 5s- first week to a resort which the kids loved and 2nd week to nananu -i- ra which they also loved- no swimming pool or kids club but wild beaches and mangroves to explore- crabs to chase etc- it was the best family holiday we have had and we got the most time out on the water we have had since the kids came on the scene.

We take a group every year to Nananu-i-ra the last 2 weeks of August.

Kids are no problem, they love it.

we pick that time because it is smack in the sweet spot of the trade winds.
And over the last 4 yrs we have been going have delivered every time.
