G'day all,

well, I just got back from the Lizard Island trip with the boys at Windswell in Port Douglas and let me tell you that it is exactly all that it is cracked up to be and then some! I don't want sound like I'm pimping but it is worth the asking price and I'm going back for sure, and hopefully with a bunch of my mates this time. We had 20 knots plus the whole time day and night, with the flattest water ever, and to my suprise, a few little waves on the outer part of Lizard Island reef, so we just about, had it all!! From great food, unbelievable scenary, fun crew and amazing conditions, I highly highly recommend this trip as a top of the list places to go. My only regret is having a sore foot before I went so I couldn't go nuts and try some crazy tricks like the Windswell boys did!!!

Thanks so much to Bretto for putting this trip togeather and for the Windswell crew working so hard to make every detail a pleasure, it is definitely a trip of a life time, and I'm gunna do it again for sure!!!

ps watch out for the come down blues when you get home, when you think such beauty is sitting there with all this wind going to waste, awwww man, its hard to come home to your local break after such excellence!!

Sounds and looks like you guys had a epic trip! spewing I missed that one. Im back on board next year for sure!

ps I'm the big dude with the drinking problem, not even kiting stops the thirst. I ended up having 5 heinies in a row so the got a little tipsy for the ride back to the beach!!! I had a ball the next hour though!!!

... yeah I know it was a bit long and not 'internet' friendly, but I couldn't find another song that didn't change the mood of the vid. Anyway, you get the idea of the place.

George and I were constantly finding excuses to "have one more, 'cause one more can't hurt ...can it????" beer! My 2 cartons for 5 days just made it by the way, I had to ration very carefully and then steal a few from the other guys (I did ask permission) and man, I just made it!!! Next time it will be 3 cartons, 'cause a man's not a camel ya know!! Plus I try Kitelooping when I've got 4 under my belt, ... you know... so you can relax after a f#cked up loop and tuck and roll better!!! 5 plus and I better just cruise 'cause I aint landing sh!t after that!!!

Looks like 'the gibbo' and I would get along ... just right!

Yeah we had a ball and I highly recommend the trip. Bretto put on a good show in some amazing locations. Next time I'm gunna do a kite-snorkel, where you take off upwind and body drag back with the head underwater with a snorkel, you know, so you don't have to swim and waist the energy swimming... oh, and if you see something you don't like you can get the f#ck outta there quick!!

... hey Ty, thanks for the props dude! You doing the tail or nose sliding was the coolest but my favorite was Paul doing his jump to kite prang with camera man giggle, I'm amazed the kite stayed togeather for the week!! To think Paul went from 'I think I can go left 100m but I can't go right yet' to going for jumps and riding around at 30 knots is a legend, and all a 45 + years old. Mind you, not taking anything away from Paul, we did have fantastic conditions!!! You know, if I could ride blind as good as you, I'd ride around like that too, way cool dude!!!

If you could pm me and I'll get your postal address, I'll send you a memory stick or something and get the other footage from you and I'll 'improve' the video some-what! I forgot to get my GoPro footage off you too.

Next time I'll make sure every one knows how to use the video camera and leave it more available on the beach so anyone can just grab it and shoot every thing, get more footage, you never know some one may get gold like Pauls prang!
