Hey Aus 240,
I'm assuming you have the series II Classic with the rollup wing tips with the velcro and the 2 "V" attachment points. Awesome kite! I hated giving mine up, bomb proof and the best teaching kite for schools!

If I were you I wouldn't use the rear pigtails and the wingtips as front and back attachment points of a 4-line setup for two reasons:-
1/ The rear attachment points used in 2 line mode are only designed to take minimal force required to turn the kite. You will notice (if the 2-line bridle is still on or with the kite) that the rear attachment lines of the original bridle are about 1.5mm in diameter and are made with a core and an outer sleeve. This line has little strength compared to normal dyneema or spectra that takes the load on the front lines. You will probably rip the rear attach points off the kite if you use them in a 4 line setup. They just wont handle the load and in doing so may tear your kite badly.

2/ The front attach points on the wingtips are designed to take all the load so they are more than strong enough, however the relationship of attachment point to centre of effort on the canopy is almost aligned so as to place all the load on just 2 lines ie the centre of effort is further aft to be more in line with where the two lines would normally be. This will give you almost no depower range if you attach the front lines to the wingtips.

The "V" attachment points for 4 line conversion were put there to allow a good depower range and balance to suit 4 lines setups, to use anything else will more than likely result in tearing your kite badly and rendering it unuseable. Worst still if you do get the kite off the ground in a good wind and the rear 2 line attach point on only one side breaks under the load of a 4 line setup, a rear line snapping will put the kite into a power loop or death spiral and will drag you mercilessly downwind until it either crashes or you crash into something immovable. Either way unpleasant!

In summary, Dont do it, Just roll the wingtips up tightly(whilst kite LE is deflated), velcro them out of the way and change your pigtails to the two "V" attach points. It will fly brilliantly and will be way faster as a 4 line than a 2 line.

Kick ass baby!
