Whats this kite like as a beginners kite? And what would be the general wind range for a 64kg rider in small chop?

It will work up to 20 knots for you.

You can safely self land with the 5th line if your completely over powered. Very similar to the NEW system.

Sometimes it amazes me the arrogance and disrespect, some forum users have to pioneers of the sport.

Snap out of it.

Arrogance and disrespect? How is that? and where is Wipika now?

That remark from a forum pimp?

Leave out your ads and give skiddz an honest answer. The Matrix is not a good beginners' kite.

Who cares if you can self land when overpowered? How many times will he use that feature? SLE's and bow designs will provide skiddz with a far more enjoyable experience than playing with a Matrix. (he will learn much faster) And the safety features built into them are far more user friendly than the Wipika 5th line.

Skiddz- think twice before buying and get more advice.

Dave if you would like to know the owner of Wipika is setting Paragliding world records. He is a good man who achieves results. Not into kiting much these days because of tossers who knock a good thing.

End result of all kites they pull you out to sea and bring you back. Im sure you can save money and buy a reduced price kite to learn with, which will fore fill your needs.

Skidds,
Its fine for the right price. But it is a heavy kite. made for winder conditions and maybe heavier people. You can use it until 20 knots.
If it is too powerful for you put less air in the leading edge as mega pressure increases the coning effect in this particular kite.

Dave you are a knocker you know little about.

OK chill u 2.
Haven't really answered his question.

Skiddz I know you have been kiting for a while so I'm guessing your asking for a friend?

Firstly you must accept that using a C kite you can't just release the bar to kill the power.

The 06 model was Wipis attempt at a swept wing C which they obviously thought had potential after the Indy (great kite rarely seen in Aus) and the F-One Impact/Tribal kites.

The wind range was good, they turned well and there were some good construction concepts but personally I felt the F-Ones were better in 06 and the Torch and Vegas in 07-08 too.

If the price is right (cheap) it would be an ok kite.

I think the Pornster actually knows more about this kite than most, he may have designed it it for Wipika

True?

Furthermore Id like to say , we should be happy for a kite designer to post on this forum, hope he doesnt get put off by a few dissers

Only c@p info left soon from groms reading other forums

lucky for me i had a good friends and kite instructor who regulary let me use there matrix kites while i was learning. obviously get lessons first and after those lessons the coach should have taught you to fly any kind of kite availabe. i used to 06 a few times and had no problems at all on it, yeh he can buy a sle and im not saying he shouldn't( i have not used these kites often maybe and SLE a few times) but if you seen a matrix 06 and you see its in a good state for a good price then consider it because its not a dangerouse kite and up to 20kts is enough for a bigginer.

i seen a progressive kite crash a matrix too many times but it was still in great shape when i last seen go into the bag, good construction
