Hey guys, I thought as many of you did that this was all a hoax. Some keyboard cowboy trying to protect his local. So I see 18-22 knots SW at Garden Island today, instantly my thoughts were to go to Woodies. Having made the long trek there I was shocked to see the the main entrance to woodies baracaded off. Anyway I wasn't going to let a small baracade stop me from reaching Mecca, a bit of creative driving and I was through. Driving down to the end almost at the end I was pulled over by some neighbourhood secruity officers and told to return to back to the main road.
It was on the trip back I noticed a small wind blown lake, access was not easy but I found a park and climbed through some bushes. The wind felt clean and the water was glassy like a mirror next to the bank for about 30 meters. The bottom looked sandy and I spotted a small grassy area to rig up. I rigged the 10m excited to test the new spot and was not let down. The wind was super clean and the bottom was very soft and sandy. No rocks or sharp shells. Had a very fun session for about 2 hours to myself. The wind was a perfect 18-23 knots, much stronger than most places in Perth. Maybe a venturi effect or something?
So even though woodies is closed at the moment not all is bad, a new spot is discovered.

North end Bibra rocks in the middle of summer. If youve seen it at that time of year you know what I mean, specially the last 2 or 3 yrs.
