Hey guys,
I was down at woodman point today, and i have a few questions.
Where is the best spot for beginners there? On the north side of the rock wall seemed to be the most active (crowded) area, but I didn't see any beginners. The other side of the rockwall seemed less crowded, but basically on-shore winds..

Are there any kiters who will be heading there tomorrow or later in the week who I could tag along with for guidance etc? I dont want to go into the wrong area or do something to face the wrath of the man in the boat with the oar.

Thanks guys!

If you are learning stay on the south side of the spit-point whatever you want to call it. the section of beach on the eastern side of the rock wall but on the southern shoreline is onshore in a souwester but pretty safe - no chance of being blown out to sea if you drop your bundle!!

Enjoy

Come on, how come there aren't any "cool" names for the 3 sailing spots a woodies...choicey & I were having a laugh about some funny names for them...

How about these:

South Side .. "Main Break" (ha ha..as if )
West Side .. "Left Handers" ( ditto )
North Side .. "The Pond?" (uurgh )

Haha .. Laurie
