Just a flashback I had to the first time i went to Woodies to kite. I dragged my mate along, raving about this offshore spot that's perfect in a seabreeze. As we walked north from the carpark and saw the kites moving along from behind the hill, I'll never forget the sight of seeing some dude launch himself 10m up and then disappear again. It was such I psyche up we started running.
Needless to say, the wind died and we floated down to the power station, but we were still stoked at the half hour we did get.

HI all , just a message from the CALM guys that are often at woodies.... it is the breading season for Tiger snakes and Dugites!!!
stay out of the vegetation!!!
as if the Sharks and the car break ins wern't enough...
a tip for new comers to the spot at woodies , the southern side is better for beginners, it is cross on shore , shallow, plenty of space down wind..
the off shore side is better suited for advanced riders, im getting sick of towing newbies back in from shark ally...
