Hi all
Today I visited the Jervoise Bay Sailing Club (woody's point) and spoke with the new commodore about allowing kiters to join the club and share the facilities.
He is very keen and will put it foward to the rest of the members at this weekends meeting.
The club is pretty basic but the location is perfect, the facilities on offer are a sheltered under cover area, hot showers, toilets, a BAR , kitchen and BBQ's, more secure parking as well as the possibility of secure locker type storage.
Current yearly membership fee's are
Family membership $150
Single membership $100

I would like to get an expression of interest so that I can give Carl(the commodore) an idea of the numbers to expect and put forward to the other members. So please post your reply if you are keen to part with your cash.

Cheers
Pete

Im there, though apparently there is a bar that is open on Sat and Sun.
Looks like my 3 hour sat kiting sess could become an all day epic. Wife is not going to be happy, unless of course i combine a kite with a BBQ at the club then bring her along.

$150 WELL SPENT,

Nice one Pete

Just wondering where this club is ?

Are you talking about the club where there is a private boat launch, and a public boat launch right next to it? The one where you need a magnetic key tag to get into the carpark gates?

I think it will be the first kite club in Perth.
I can see it being a good place for non kiting family to be sheltered out of the sun and wind. A place to stash your coldies, have a BBQ and talk crap with fellow kiters as the sun goes down.

So long as we don't scare the sailers to much it should be all good [}:)].

Cheers
Pete

Hi All
Well the clubs opening day looks to have been a success.
A few kiters turned up and chatted to the sailors and officials all putting forward the reasons for wanting to join the club etc. this seems to have done the trick as by mid morning application forms were handed out.
So the good news is you may now apply for membership !!!

Club fee's are $100.00 for a single and $150.00 for a family.
There is also a once of nomination fee of $100.00 and a key deposit fee of $50.00.
Details of this are on the second page of the application form.

I have posted the application forms online at http://www.addictionkiteboards.com/jbsc/ so you can download and print them.
All you need to do is fill them out and post them along with your cheque to the address at the top of the first form.

Cheers
Pete
