DEC (6467 5000) and Cockburn Council (9411 3444) have just been asked to remove that large metal yacht racing buoy that's been buried at the end of the point near the landing and take off zone for the past few months. It looked like another unwanted hazard during the blasts on Sunday and is sure to be a magnet for someone to slam into in summer. They both said they'd get the job done.

Feel free to call them in coming weeks to give them a hurry up, if you wish. And, yes, I realise it's on land but even if no one is hurt imagine what it could do kite!

i herad it was a docking bouy for all the great whites waiting for a rider too go past
