Hey, im new to the sport and im just lookin around for kite and equipment just to kite board in a lake. the wind isnt and strong as the ocean but we do accasionally get some good wind. but anyway iv been lookin on ebay and i found a kite with everything i think ill need but its only 450 buy it now so im not to sure. im hoping you guys with more experience would be able to tell me if its worth gettin on not. in ebay look up 11M SURF KITE, BAR N LINES, HARNESS AND BOARD
and it should be the only thing that is found. iv already baught a kite off ebay thinkin i had a bargin but turns out the only thing it would be good for is a shade tent lol so yeah.

Thanks Brad

no. before you buy any equipment take some lessons and get some advice from your local kite store. it is highly unlikely you can get a good cheap kite from ebay, or a cheap quality kite anywhere for that matter .

basically as a learner you certainly do not want a 2005 model kite with a bar that is broken and doesnt match the kite.

take some lessons and then get advice, and have a look in the seabreeze buy and sell section. more trustworthy then ebay!

Getting some from the buy and sell section on here would be much safe. Come to think of it, I have some great bargains listed at the moment!!

I had a look at that kit for you. Do not buy it. The kite is unsuitable for learning, it has a cabrinha sb3 bar which has no centre flagging line, and too much depower for that kite, and the board is actually a wakeboard( no good for kiting).

As suggested earlier, get some lessons your instructor will point you in the right direction for appropriate gear.
