trying to track down an affordable board for this season, i can stay upwind, but that's about as good as my board skills get, the last board i had was a 2003 dragon 135cm.

a dude on ebay/this forum as well i believe is selling a board called an 'xblank' must be a small company as google doesn't bring anything up on them, anyone used one, have anything to say on them?

i'm 70ish kg, have a 12 metre kite and will probably be out in 15-20 knots most of the time, maybe a few more knots, do you think a 129cm board will be ok for a newbish rider

hey man.

Ive got their 05 brochure.
from what it seems they do 2 boards, the fly (129) and the rush in 142 and 157.
A couple of quotes for ya:

"The fly 129 - a performance kiteboard for intermediate to expert riders...."

"the rush 142 and 157 - a high quality kiteboard for beginner to intermediate riders....."

Try www.force.net.au

This really dodgy guy (my opinion) tried to sell me one a while ago..... so id be a bit sceptical.

nonetheless,
hope this helps

X Blank is Force's budget range. I've ridden a Force Matrix for a year and very happy with it. 'Force is a reputable Aussie brand.

This is an old webpage page which is still avalible.

http://www.force.net.au/xblanks.htm

Brooksy's right, X-blank was Force's budjet range, but now they're just concerntrating on getting aussie riders on Force boards, just because its easier to push one brand name than two. But the X-blanks boards are pretty good.

Yes, you guessed I work for Force. And no I'm not the ebay guy or the 'dodgy guy' lukeroo came across a while back.

Hope this helps.

Getfunky,

Used it for a season and just upgraded to a smaller board. I have been stoked with mine! Tracks upwind nicely, good looking board, tough and well finished. It has a really similar shape to the Caution Redline. Maybe spyte can give us a bit more info? Was it based on the redline?

Sorry Brooksy,

The Matrix 142 is before my time. On was already on the shelves when i started working here. Its good to here that it had a decent reputation out there though.

Were you riding the 2004 or the 2005 model?

2004

2005

FYI its been replaced by the RX 135 & 145, which are just starting to filter into shops.

Yep the 2005. Good board, and what was better was it was a really good price for what you got!
