I'm going camping at Yamba this weekend. anyone know how to tell what the wind will be like or where good spots are. Space suits me as i can't really go upwind yet. I heard hardly anyone down there kites?? Any help appreciated.

I grew up at Yamba! I'm well travelled and it's still my favourite place in Australia the beach's and surf are so good and fishing, well it's as good as any where populated. I'm jealous of you and Christmas can't get here fast enough so I can get back for the holidays.
4 locals kite there Dan, Justin, Shane and Nick all good guy's and very approachable, Doc was pretty spot on with the wind and spots. If you are just starting I would suggest you head over to Shark Bay it's on shore in any wind with North and is a good spot to learn with lots of room etc.

Thanks for the help guys. No one has mentioned the river so I'll assume its no good or too dangerous unless i hear otherwise. I've just heard that its real big. does anyone kite there? I'll hope for wind and check Pipies first.
