After picking up a Caution kite (ableit a '02 model) for under $500 brand spanking new on the weekend I'd have to agree with you!!!
I saw on another thread that you had a wichard quick release shackle to sell... still got it? what model # is it?

Not sure what the model number is but its a heavy duty one - if it breaks il give you double your money back. It is also on a swivel.
You will need to put the string with the two little plastic balls on, or configure it how you want.
