You know its not windy when you only look out the window to check the wind once ever hour and not ever ten minutes.
and
You know its not windy when you sit down and your legs shake up and down from way to much anti kite tension.
Anti-kite tension does that make sense? oh well sounds good lol

You Know its not windy wen you see your bank balance goin down due to all the time and money spent at the cable park getting rid of your lack of kiting tension if only there was such a thing as 12 months of summer

Running out of 'otherwise essential' duties here too!
Watching my better half killing time knitting baby clothes recently & thought "Hmmmmm praps I could learn to do that & run up some pure wool board bags while Im waiting for these winter squalls to FOff"
Reckon a big open weave, see-thru, "obviously no drugs concealed in this one" type pattern may save a whole lot of baggage handling delays at the airport.

No matter how diligent U may be I guarantee that the day the first cranking seabreeze hits will be the day U R reminded of some 'urgent' household chore u should have attended to "before disappearing for the rest of the summer"

it happend this week already.
it seems no matter how diligent you are with washing, cleaning, bins, ****in gutters and bloody weeds, there is always more that needs to be done.

'You know it's not windy when'.....you can recognise the current phase as the season-change;
and you can resign yourself to a period of the doldrums.

This is the calm before the storm. (Screamin' seabreezes)
This is happening at the moment on the West coast so anticipate an early start (late-sept) to the summer season.

It's going to be a long and exhausting kiting season this year.
Lucky us.

You sure as hell know its not windy when you read this forum and theres no new kiting incidents!!
...And when you can go to uni and say i mite aswell stick round this arvo and finish come assignments!!

There are very few forum posts regarding lost boards, missing bar & lines and absent harnesses.

When the wind finally kicks in, it's embarrassingly obvious from the multitude of posts;
just how forgetful kitesurfers can be.
And also how inept kiters can be at chasing down runaway boards from the cruel sea.

The lost board scenario always leads to numerous posts regarding the pros and cons of board leashes.<
It is at this point that we can all agree that the season has officially begun.
