Had the pleasure of going down to the camp this year as well as compete in Mambo.

The camp was alot of fun, even though I had alot of unlucky, but quite funny events occur. Wind was a bit sketchy, but we had some really fun days. Went out to a lake with smooth as flat water, soo good for learning tricks on. You just got to air a fair distance away from the rocks, as I found out on my overpowered 12 m Vegas I was using. But by the way new 07 Vages is ausome, soo fun to fly. Sick depower, felt in control the whole time. Even though I managed to invert it 3 times, but we wont delve into that story. Stupid mountain. Got to meet Hymie who was a sick rider, busting out some massive moves. He taught us alot, and after a day with him I learn't exactly where I could improve in my riding. If you didn't go because you couldn't be bothered driving, or didn't want to pay the expensive air fairs you missed out. Was alot of fun, and learn't a whole lot. Really looking forward to next years one, as with more people, and the possibility of moving away from the crazy crouded mambo, will be an ausome week.

Even though the camp is about getting better and becomming a more proffessional rider, it remains fun. Everyone is allways pushing you to go bigger, and the helmet head sets are pritty fun to ride in.

Thanks espesially to North, and Naish for organising it all, and all the boys who came down.

Justin.

Youngblood camp was insane !!

massive thanks go out to Quinny, JB, Paul, Angie, Ben, Jaime, Coxy, Ian, pretty much a thanks to everyone involved in the whole thing. It was a great experience for everyone involved, especially when Ben and Jaime arrived. All the groms were tought so much about kiting, contest riding, eating healthy, how to deal with sponsors and way more. there is too much to list.

Cant wait to see all the wicked moments that Ian captured, im sure they will be good.

justin - i didnt know that it was possible to invert a C kite, not once, not twice but three times in one day, good times ! hehehe and I agree the camp was about becoming a better rider but the entire time we spent there we all had a ball im sure.

Im sure everyone had a great time at the camp and cant wait for the next one.

I would personally like to thank everyone involved and everyone who helped me learn unhooked frontrolls and the correct techniques.

It was good to see everyine again and was great fun to ride with other grommies, even though they were all guys. not that is was a bad thing ! hehaheha If there are any grommie girls out there please make yourself known to me. I would love to hear from another kiteboarder girl in Aus !! We need more girls in the sport !!

yeh thanks too everyone who helped out becuase im sure you could of been doing other stuff like running your business rather than having to teach us smart ass groms haha. even though i had a broken arm the whole time i still had heaps of fun and was definetly worth coming. better have it next year i'll be going. great to see that jaime harraiz came along, amazing that he was so friendly for such a high ranked kiter haha, ohh and dont forget paul jakson and angie they helped out heaps. but all of this wouldnt of happened without quinny, he put a lot into this and was amazing to fit us in his busy schedual.

dude hows the mullet going ? is it sticking around for a while ?

yep, I dont think we can say thanks enough for all the things we learnt at Youngblood. Without the coaches the camp would not have happened. Coming out of the camp us grommies are now more educated about how the whole 'sponsorship' thing works, riding with photographers and the rights behind what may appear a simple photo, our diet and in some cases the lack of diet as well as kiteboarding skills that will never be forgotten. Jaime and Ben made a huge difference to the camp with all the grommies putting on a show for them. and a thanks also goes to our kites and boards we couldnt have done anything without them.

NORTH KITEBOARDING AUSTRALIA wanted to thank all the people who made the Young Blood Camp possible.

Massive thanks to Ian for his photos, Paul and Angie (zero gravity) for their great support (and giving up their riding time to help us), Jaime (North team rider) for coming all the way from overseas to train the grommets, Merimbula Sailboarding club for providing the facilities, Glen (X-shore) for providing the radio helmets, Kerry (osteopath) who kindly offered her help, as well as all the other people who volunteered to support this event.

We've been stoked with the feedbacks (thanks to all the grommets for turning up: this event wouldn't have been happening without you either!), we're glad everybody enjoyed it (so did we) and are looking forward next year camp, hoping to make it bigger and better.

Hi justin,

We are not in any way associated with zero gravity boards australia, we have actually changed our school name to Paul Jackson's Kitesurfing Lessons from ZeroGravity Kitesurfing lessons due to them not happy with the name. Although we where operating 1st with the name in QLD. Thats a whole another story!!

Just so you know.

Cheers Angie
