I'm taking the boat to the abrolhos islands in a couple of weeks time. Are there any uncrowded spots that i should try.

There is a really nice wave on the southern side of Jackson island.

I have kited there a couple of years ago .

Has a beach to launch off and the southerly is a bit onshore.

Beware though as the local fishermen call the area "Bittey Holes" .

and I did see quite a few fins coming out of the water.

^ Correct. We were there the day the poor bloke got chomped. Very deep water to the front of that reef break.

Ya, look how blue that water goes right off the reef! Looks epic, but there would be safety in a few numbers out there. What a spot!

It picks up a nice amount of swell, thats for sure check the waves on the outer reef in this pic

had a nice wave kite sesh as well, but the boat wasn't in the position for photos and in any case everyone wanted to be on the water !

An insane amount of super flat, fully lit flat water inside the lagoon as well..
Baldchin within arms reach, mackerel and dhufish together outside..
A true paradise.
