will be venturing over to perth for the red bull sky race, Nov 3 - 4, the planes are competing on the Swan river. Will be bringing my kites also for the weekend, anyone know a good cheap place to rest my head for the weekend, close to the river or the best kite beach / spot???

Well... one of the backpackers would probably work? There's a couple of great ones, many in Northridge which is close to the city and close to river, OB in Cottesloe which is on the beach and good party so should be easy to find one that suits you best
