gday people.

any advice on what i should purchase for my first kite setup.

ive had a few hrs worth of lessons and the instructors were pretty happy with my progress so im keen to buy my first package.

im in the perth area so i wont be doing to much wave jumping just after a kite that could help me progress comfortably and be able to take a bit of abuse.
im 80kgs so i was looking at perhaps a slighly bigger board to start with.

any advice or who to speak to would be great

Pretty much...:

Anything from the top brands
Anything newer the 08
Anything that you don't mind trashing being a noob

All the gear is pretty similar now, and being a noob you probably won't feel the subtle differences between the brands. Have a hunt in the buy and sell and see what you find.

You should give your kite school a call, I'm sure they would be happy to recommend you whatever they sell.

I love my north Vegas' good safety, soooo stable and very forgiving i find.
2010 upwards are great quality kites that you will be able to continue to use as you progress. :)
