30 God damned tourists on a summer Sunday when it's cranking that don't bother to observe the rotation at the pond ****ing it up for everyone.

Wait a second, that's not funny at all. In fact it royally pisses me off.

Did you report them to the Gestapo NoBS 007?

If only I was born a WA Australian ............... i would be perfect.

I fortunately have not found the same level of ignorance where I live.

A couple of bogan fishermen decide to set up smack bang right in the middle of Pinaroo, with around 50 kites and windsurfers in the water...

Hey NoBS, was the kid at Pinaroo as well?

Is that 30 tourists who won't join the rotation? 30! It wouldn't help if they did.
Or is it 30 tourists who are kiting in your pond and you would rather they went somewhere else?

Everyone is welcome provided they observe the local rules. I didn't think it's too much to ask. It's always going to be a crowded spot but it doesn't have to stop functioning if people just observe the rotation.

I would say it was more scary than amusing today at peli pt...wow, some people just lack common sense on the most basic level.

A dad was teaching his kids, couldn't imagine a worse spot (not to mention all the more experienced riders coming close for their tricks), noobs learning water starts (he was told by his mate to come here to learn, i told him otherwise), people unable to work out where to stand when launching/landing their kites, and at least one kite ended up in the trees...Just a matter of time before its banned there...

On another note, i would think my failed attempt at back rolls would be entertaining enough for everyone

Weve had some fisherman put a string of crabpots in the main part where 10-15 kiters were already kiting, just rolled in, in the tinny and started throwing pots in everyones way, then proceded to anchor up a little down wind and throw out a line....got nasty when the kiters started kiting close and spraying them with water and verbal. Funny when they realized they're being dumb grabbed pots and left

Geez I dunno...... ASK?

When I rock up to a spot I've never kited, especially if it's a small packed lagoon, I watch for 5 mins to figure out the rotation so i don't piss everyone off. Or, like I siad, ask someone. This isn't surfing, you're probably not going to get knocked out for it but it's still pissing everyone off and ****ing up the spot.

Oh wait you actually wanted a story

A group of 5 muscle marys wade in the only piece of flat water doing tricks in, flying a kid's one line kite, smack bang in the middle of the (mostly orderly) 15 person deep queue for tricks.

Some times you have got to wonder...

Apatheticend, sounds like you've just got too many people in one spot, and it'll just get worse as the sport is the fastest growing watersport and your population in Perth is growing, maybe look elsewhere now and then , personally I don't mind tourists kiting at our local spot , usually many of them are better kiters than us, we get out there have a ball and usually have a beer with them and talk s..t , on many occasions guys from Perth come up , do they introduce themselves no , do they ask about local rules no, cause we don't have any, in my uneducated view if we've gotta go through all that stuff just so we can have a kite, the sport will be dead
And maybe you'll have your spot all to yourself

best thing I saw was a learner who had finished his session and was watching the more experienced riders from his car parked on the beach. He jumped out to do the righty as someone was having difficulty landing their kite just past his car. He jumps out, wearing his towl of course and lands the kite. No dramas! Forgot to put the park brake but didnt he!!! next thing ya know the guy is sprinting towards his car as it heads toward the ocean! LOL

. . . . . .oh wait, that was me! hahahah ooops
