Wow - big topic - before U go do the emails/forums - reckon you can line-up kit.
Wettie - tick especially once you are used to Qld.
Sea breezes - if the prevailing is SW and the sun is out - they were very common but we only noticed them when they blocked northerlies NE'lies - I used to hang-glide on the Gower at Rhossilli and up the valleys (beautiful).
Tides - just look at the shore line and the size of harbour walls / boat ramps 4-5 metres is common especially along any channel areas - so currents can be vicious - but if you are not into waves opens up alot of flat water at the right tide.
Suggest investigate if visitor membership is available thru' BKSA; 4 insurance.
If you can, get any certificates to prove competance - might help re-hire without watching you - but their demo season will be in full swing (assume they do the same as over here??).
UK kitesurfing forums - local info' will make or break this as a kiting holiday
The UK kite mag's (Kitesurf and Kiteworld - www.kiteworldmag.com/directory/uk) have UK school & shop directories in them - Turbulence Extreme sport at Llandudno - www.ukkiting.com looks like the closest (school & shop).
In a month I am sure you could sneak a few days in- rumour has it there are a number of piers waiting to be jumped still

My big lament was kiting wasn't invented when I was in UK - Poole Harbour would be magic for flat water - used to row eight's around there and if you stretched those over a wave they snapped!!
Wind - heard this is ok - www.bigsalty.co.uk/weather-alerts.php
Suggestion about week out on a package(LOSTINLONDON) would be fun - Say at Tenerife (Canary Islands)or one of the mid-atlantic islands - I think TSC (The Shinn Centre at El Medano) a kite test centre - is still there - would be a ball.
Have a grand trip
