the FLX is an awesome board. probably the best (or equal best) board ive ridden so far. Its got unreal flex ( if u've seen the pics of the car on it), and that makes it great for landing quick hard trix. Its parallel edges make it great for powering upwind also. The price is quite competitive also, cheaper than the wave trays. Its probably the strongest board ive ridden and its very light also. Can get much better. It can be purchased at SOS, just ask one of the guys to give u more information. Try and have a go at someones, and im sure you'll love it.
Sorry if this sounds like a marketing ploy, but its not. Cheers Adam
The flx rocks!! just demo one and you will see. Hey Adam did ya get my other text? Mabye if you can get time of school you should come compete in dominican so everybody can see you ripping and give you tons of$$ then you can travel with me:-)
i just saw the new FLX today. i loved the graphics on it, it made it look nice... the footstraps have a cool X-ray design on them but unfortunatly lack any sort of adjustment other than multipul screw holes, should of thought that out a bit more. it looks as though it has a 1 or 2 mm concave aswell... overall impression was good, and the owner said it set him back less than a grand thats always a plus nowdays for a new board
the flx is F#@*ing sick!!!! it does everything. it carves, it cranks up wind, it boosts, it holds a sick edge, it slides, its light and its one of the strongest boards on the market what more can i say.
They come in 122, 132 and 142. I rode the 132 and im around 72kg. Its the only one i rode so its hard to say what the 122 is like. Depending on your weight, it think that the 132 is a great alround board for most average weight riders. Theres a lot of good information on :
The Underground FLX's are sick boards. I have a 132 and a 122, I found the 132 is a good all round board which plains quite early but you can hold it into quite strong winds. The 122 is a high wind board for myself 74kgs. The faster you go on it the better it feels. It also changes direction really fast and they are bomb proof[}:)]
If you look at it that way. But I spend a fair bit of time on the water and I find it faster to pick up a smaller board than rig up another kite. If you did want only one board the 132FLX would be a good one to have.
hmm yes but doesnt say much if u have to have a 2 board quiver.... makes it a pricey kit....
you dont have to have 2 boards travis is just lucky enough to have 2 of the sickest boards ever made. i rode the 132 (im 84kg) and found it planned early and held onto heaps of power.
FLX132 double concave is unreal... ALL of the above... BUT It is not as good to rid on the toe side edge because the back is square. My older rounded back board cauld point HEAPS higher!
