Came across these on the kitepower site and havent come across them locally. Are these pretty much the easiest way to keep my keys safe or are there better options?
The beach i go to is fairly good but who knows what SOR people are around
i have one of these and it's been ok but has started to let a little bit of moisture in now (after about a year or so). So I decided to get a simple steel key cut with which I can can lock the car door and leave remote key inside the car. That's a much better option and I don't have to worry about aquapac failing one day.
Now I only use it when i go on a longer downwinder to store my old mobile phone (don't care if it dies).
Did you consider a key safe? they come in padlock or "bolt to your car" varieties. I used to take my key out with me in an aquapac but theres always the risk of drowning it/losing it if something breaks. I worry much less about key security now.....
I've got one of those for the house (about $75 from bunnings) but im not convinced its as strong as it should be. Mind you its kept near a very protective german sheperd but i think any kid with a screw driver could wedge it open.
Perhaps the non bunnings spec ones are stronger so thats an option worth looking at. The phone thing was another reason for the pouch though. Prepaid sim in an old phone could be handy
Lorrie use to sell the key safe here on the seabreeze shop(above in the blue) i just clicked on it but dosnt show . Anyhow aqua pack for cheap old phone, keys locked in this key safe locked onto tow bar , mag wheel ect is the best way to go . yep a little dear but whats a couple of dollars worth verses replacement of car . Come on lorrie get ya sh stuff together .
