Hi there fellow kitesurfers, my name is Riaan I live in Carnarvon( last stop before you go to Gnaraloo or the Bluff), there is a couple of us kite surfing(luckily that includes my girlfriend)and one or two starting up. Now or local newspaper has come and said that they want to do an article about kitesurfing, and they asked me to come up with a frame work for this article. I am no journalist and not even a great teller of fact and fictional. I have got a couple of ideas but I need more help, so if anyone has got some interesting facts or ideas I could borrow it would be greately appreciated, we are pretty secluded so we don't always know whats happening in the real world.
Thanks
Riaan

Riaan, as I'm also pretty inexperienced can I suggest you might want to speak to any of the kiteboarding shops.... in NSW there's Kitepower, Long Reef and Balmoral Boards, others I know of in Aus are Go Windsurfing who run kitesurfing lessons and Warren Francis who runs Safari Lodge in Fiji (info for all on internet or on yellow pages) or else maybe give AKSA/WAKSA a call and ask someone there for advise. Hope this helps.

Keep us informed or post the article when it gets published.

Mate, I'd recommend getting in touch with Ian Young or maybe Gavin Hirchausen. They know stuff. Darren Marshall or Choicey could probably also give you a very good picture of what's going on, off the top of my head. Ian's email is [email protected], Choicey has a webpage but I'm stuffed if I can remeber what the address is. I think they all have profiles on here anyway so you could find them and pm them. They'd be the people I'd talk to in your situation anyway.
