Look guys,
I have been over this quite few times, but here I repeat again.
Windy Season May to September! Mostly light wind 12-14 knots
December to March monsoon season, totally no reliable!!!
Can be windy for 3 weeks in a row or dead calm for 2 months in a row.
It can be really predicted!
If you are looking for a kitesurfing holiday then Bali is not where you want to be!
But if you are coming over anyhow then bring your kite as you could get lucky.
The best wave spot in that time of the year is Sanur at Kite Beach (side shore wind) or Tuban Side On Shore wind (riding at Kuta Reef).

Hope this can help.
Better then have frustrated kiters around here.

forget it.. jankies right.
even if it is windy, it will seemingly come from nowhere and totally take you by surprise. by the time you find a spot thats cranking and rig up.... the wind will be dropping to nothing or gone.
still, its a great time of year for a visit

Hmm

Unreliable wind wind and this might be worth considering

I reckon Tassie or WA might be a better option for wind and waves anyway

DFAT advisory

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFAT) has reviewed and reissued its travel advice for Indonesia in the wake of the execution announcement.

DFAT is urging anyone planning on going to Indonesia, including Bali, to reconsider their need to travel.

The travel advisory says there is a very high threat of a terrorist attack.
