Hi guys,

When it comes to choosing a new board, weight is for me one of the top criterias (after size of course)... the lighter the better! Have you ever lifted a FLX underground? ... the weight of that board is a real shame because that aside it is a great board!

For kites, same thing, I find weight to be a very interesting piece of information mainly for light wind kites, it will have big impact on the ability of the kite to remain fun and stable in lulls or light winds.

However, this information is not easy to find in order to compare gear between each other... Does anyone know of databases that would centralise such info? (If not, any volunteer to put something like that together? )

cheers
Jacques

I don't know if i'd agree that a 2kg or less difference in board weight is going to effect light wind performance.

Rocker is like to have more effect, for example have you felt how heavy the flydoor is and it's probably the best light wind board on the market.

Have you not considered that some of the heavier boards you tried were more wakestyle orientated, hence more rocker and slightly heavier?
