Wouldn't compare the speedball to any board, it's on its own, the Dundee is a toned down version of the monk , still the usual shinn comfort and dry ride, but being a bit slower and less tapered at the tips IMO makes it better in the waves, I had this board sent from kss to demo at exmouth last year, I passes it around and honestly didn't get any negative vibes,,

Thanks for.replys the xride north seems good.choice I'm 77 kg I see they have 136 and 139 wondering Wich size to go I guess the 139 may be better upwind performance ??

I had the xrides from 2010 to 2012 and have ridden the 2013, not bad boards, but spray and chattering ie skipping out we're a pain for me ,the 2010 was the pick though, loads of boards in this category, xenons, crazy fly, fly board radical, but the shinns especially the monk take some beating, the shinns are becoming very popular and deservedly , look in the buy and sell , you don't get many for sale , I wonder why

Shinn Monk. Don't buy anything till you've tried it. I have x ride for last 5 years, Monk is more comfortable, no spray, unbelievable at speed in chop. Not so popular here, the euros are onto it though.

Has been voted board of the year for 2 years , I'm on the original and have thrashed it , although the old gorillas got some big scars on his dial it's still going strong

If you take heed of advice to try out a Shinn then at 77 kgs forget the 136 to 139. (Mark Shinn doesnt even make a 139!!)
Im around 75 & the Dundee 133 was obviously too big right from the go get. Tried the 129 as well but the 131 was the G.O.
IMO definitely the Dundee is the pick of the litter if you are riding ocean slop & doing a bit of wave riding.
On the flat &/or for more aggressive powered kiting then the Monk is the one. Again at 77kgs the overwhelming no. of kiters who have demoed have selected the 132.
Maybe go bigger if you are starting out or just like that bigger board feeling - some do?? (I just find that hard to understand).
Ive found with the Shinn boards - my experience & feedback from lots of demos - that there is almost always a clear 'right size'.
Bit like Cinderellas slipper. Its yours or its not.
