Hope you got your small kite, was just listening too the news and they reckon 50 knot winds tonight and tommorow for Brizvegas and gold coast. lucky ****s we still getting nothing here.

Hey everyone ... I haven't kited at wello before I am assuming it's kiteable in westerly winds.

For anyone on the northside just a reminder dont even think of kiting in any Westerly winds in Brighton it's all offshore.

Some people will try Bells Beach Clontarf. Now I am totally a Kite boarding addict but I won't kite there anymore. Forget that beach I've seen alot of carnage happen in SW's there.

The conditions are very GUSTY...you have wind coming over the houghton highway bridge, land and urban built up areas....even launching the kite on the seaward side to be safer is difficult because the kite is launched below Pelican Park's rock wall right in the wind shadow ...causing your kite to fall right back into the power zone upon launching. To top it off you'll be launching your kite in conditions where the wind swings W to SW very suddenly and all too often the wind is also on and completely off and you can end up being lofted over obstacles on a very small beach area, drifting into very sharp rocks or doing a downwinder to Woody Point Jetty.

You'd probably be safer kiting at Bribie Island's West Coast where the wind is cleaner and I dont know it if it's true but I heard some some kiters saying you can kite around Beachmere somewhere?

**** yer it was cold ahahahaha went surfing a six tosmorning, they recond it was -2 with wind chill, only had a shorty on, ears were so cold and face burnt, duckdiving was the warm part.

wello was sooooo cold. 12 degrees on the car thermometer.
got there and i said NFW! cloudy bleak 25knots etc. hope everyone enjoyed themselves. standout performances, jono from the goldy, 1mm long sleeve vest! only boardies from waist down! paulio from goldy, 2mm springy 20 mins blue fingers, tingly legs.
think we saw numnutz too, onya numnutz, goin off!
