hey im thinking of grabbing the pair of slingshot wake boot bindings we have at choice. Im just wondering wether or not i should buy the board as well. its a 142 slnigshot response 2007 will cost around me around $500. im definatly going to grab the d2 boots they fit really well unfortunatly.. but i cant decide if i just want to strap em to my 132 flx ive got the conversion kit thing or if its worth grabbing the actual wake board. Any help would be most appreciated

Wakeboards are really different to kiteboards (they're alot more solid on the water, and more pop of the wake), so I would buy the wakeboard.

oh im still just using this for my kite .. not for actuall wake boarding. with the rocker and stuff are there any benifits on a kite.. i thought they would be harder to go upwind and stuff with. but i really have no expreience with them

I've tried 2 wakeboards with a kite. One with a continuous rocker and the other with a 3 stage rocker. The continuous rocker board (a 142 Blindside) goes ok but is really fricken heavy! The 3 stage rocker board (137 Hyperlite) is much lighter but with the 3 stage rocker, you really only have a 3rd of the board edging and I really struggled to stay upwind. Plus the board pushes so much more water it is much slower to plane than a kiteboard! But I'm only learning still so maybe if you are ripping real hard you could still stay upwind.

get the boots an try it on your board first. wakeboards work for kiting they just involve a different technique to ride them, if you get one get one with continuous rocker. i love my wakeboard its just a bit heavy, a lighter version would be perfect.

you are right there, i didnt particularly like the slingy wakeboards because as they flex when u go along they make even more rocker. I tried the lunacy before as well and i thought it was a terrible shape to kite on, the thing is a door with little rocker.

Yea to wakeboard you generally need a boat

yeh and to cloud climb you need goose straps and a fast turning kite so u can throw it back into last month. or just the old clothes line out the back

man its hard to find stuff out about this... has anyone ever used slingshot d2 in kiteboarding? are they going to be to stiff? do i want a looser fitting boot?
