Depends on the purpose I fold my cabs in two different ways (starting from the same basic folding):
1. Fold the kite in half (bring the two wingtips together)
2. Make sure your LE is layed out flat so that the outer edge is where the LE and the pannel stitching come together.
3. Start from the wingtips (they should now be perfectly lying one above the other) and fold the kite in 20cm sections towards the other end of the kite. This will enable the remaining air to move from the outer struts to the LE and from the LE to the main valve and deflate completely.
Now, if I'm only packing up and storing the kite until my next session I then take the resulting "kite saussage" and fold it only once in half and store it in the soft internal kitebag.
If I'm travelling and I require the kite to be super small, I fold it twice so it fits in the internal and external bag.
I would avoid folding the kites too much if you don't need them to be super small. It's just not great for the fabric.
Another thing you may be risking is that the clips from the sprint system may damage the pannels if folded too hard. That's why the Omega has a little sleave over the clips.
I hope this helps,
M
P.S.: If you ever kite around Dolls Point in Sydney, there are quite a few experts in that folding technique
