Someone would make a fortune if they set one up around the burbs somewhere in Melbourne. Any entrepreneurs out there please give it some thought.....
Me thinks it would be a VERY BAD investment in melbourne suburbs. Imagine... buying 10 acres plus all the equipment which is custom built from Germany. You are looking at LEAST $10 mil. Multiply this by a region that is seasonal, so the park would only be in operation during summer and the spring/autumn sholders.
From my experience at previous parks, you would get IF YOU ARE LUCKY approx 80 customers per day @ $25 per head. Maths is as follows
8 months operation per year (IF YOU ARE LUCKY) = 235 days
235 x 25 x 80 = 470,000 GROSS
Now take out taxes, wages, repairs, electricity, insurances, and court costs from all the ambulance chasers... well you are left with a mean hole in your bank account....
Taking the same $10 mil and putting it into the bank with an interest rate of 5% return will get you a yearly gross of 500,000 without the stress, lawsuits, ect.
Cable skiing isnt cheating, when it comes to technical moves it is a LOT harder then kiting.
