hi all,

can anybody tell me how the sync bindings hold up after some use? do the laces hold tight? that sort of thing.

also size-wise, i'm looking at a caliber, i'm 75kg (beginner but learning fast and very ambitious, used to be a professional windsurfer, surf and skate a bit too) and at this stage would mainly ride it with my 12m crossbow 3. i'm guessing the 133?

any advice greatly appreciated,

Iv been using mine for about a month now. They take a while to bed in so you have to keep tightening and ajusting them till they do. But after then its sweet, they are holding up really really well. Iv had mine constantly rip off my feet from waves and big stacks and i still see no sign of wear on them.

The little plastic cinch thing was never designed to hold load, and the recommended way to stop the strap loosening up, from cabrinha, is to tie a knot behind it.

I've got no issues with them and our demo boards are used heaps and cop a pounding.

Wet the board before readjusting Cpt Gumby, you will probably find you don't have to adjust them then (same when adjusting a dry harness, wet it and its easy).

1.33 Caliber for 75kg, I weigh that weight and I was using the 1.30, but have switched to the 1.33, much better wind range for me.

Then what is the purpose of the cinch if not to hold the laces? Why even have it there if you are required to tie a knot? As I said previously, having tied a knot then requiring adjustment is a right pain The cinch is designed to hold the laces but IMO not up to the task.

What I am finding is that even after they get wet after riding for a short while I still have to loosen them only to tighten them up latter. I do not have issue with having to adjust them but with a cinch that requires a knot and wearing of the eyelet webbing is the concern.

I just got some sync's last week and my first two sessions were a nightmare.. i was forever adjusting them and the tongue would slip down when trying to put my feet in. it made it kinda hard holding the tongue my board and my kite in 4 foot swell with 20 knot gusts.. so i sat in my lounge and worked out a technique of putting them on without the tongue slipping down (would like to add i have huge cave man style feet so others probably wont have this problem) anyway now i just love them. my trotters used to slip forward in my 09 underground straps no matter how tight i had them but they don't budge in the sync's.. also if your planning on putting them on another type of board eg: the underground like i did you should get some longer screws.. whilst doing a jump yesterday the front strap just flipped off my board ending a perfect session to soon.. they come with M6 12mm screws with a little loctite around them but on my UG the loctite does not even reach thread.. so i have put some M6 15 with a small spring washer between the screw and the strap and some loctite. this setup works well.. but apart from a few teething problems the binding/straps are soooo good..
