It sure is wide but at 97kg and not much time these days to get out and kite i am struggling with my 125 lightwave. Top board my lightwave do not get me wrong it rips... the problem is the 40 something rider who still loves his bacon double cheese burger deluxs mmmmm.
So any big guys out there try the WLX what do you think? And that extra width... does the board still carve the top of chop and does it ride toe side? How does the extra width effect toe side riding and toe side carving turns?
Its a good board, a little heavy compared to some boards, but I doubt you are ever going to notice the weight on the water.
Rides toeside ok, and carves through chop well, especially with your ballast, I weigh a bit less at 75kg. It rides ok up to approx 15knots worth of chop.
Another option is to wait approx 2 weeks and get a new Underground 05 model FLX 1.52
