had a mishap that ended in one of my rear lines being cut . . . third time using a new 2010 North bar and 25m lines.

can you buy single rear lines for this bar or is my only option to try and join it by maybe splicing the lines together with another length of kite line?

anyone have some useful advice for me?

Your other line would have stretched, buy a pair like these or similar.

I have bought a single line from a shop before. Pretty expensive little buggers though ($80?).

The rear lines (same material as the front lines) don't have anywhere near the same loads so stretch may be minimal and it's a piece of piss to check they are the same as you change them. Either that or just buy the pair and then you'll have a spare one for the next time.

Check out "Advection" web site Darren Mitchell is near Tweed Heads makes up lines, lengths as needed plus other bits and pieces.
Pricing is good and he'll mail it.
I've just replaced lines for one of my kites.
Probably better not to buy and replace just one line though get two as a minimum.
