YOU are to blame for the robberies !

YOU go to the beach, then stand posing around with your expensive mobile phone, ringing your loser mates that are too lazy to check the wind out themselves.Thats after you take your ipod earplugs out. Then you leave all those juicy pickings in your BMW,with all the "I'm a kitesurfer,I carry thousands of dollars worth of gear in my car" stickers on it.
Probably a laptop too.

However, stealing someones pump is a fuging low fkn act!!

I met a guy today that manages the boat area at Woodies. He tells me that heaps of boaties have their cars broken into as well. The low life use a lookout and the others break in...communicate by mobile phone. The police have been called heaps of times but the thieves are rarely caught. Perhaps a petition to the minister of Police , and local member to say that the situation is unacceptable. I don't go to Woodies but something should be done.

Sorry to hear what happened Tom. I agree leave the Beama at home ya yuppy LOL get a dato or corolla as you woodies kite vehicle

Out of interest do many of you guy's at woodies follow the "how to avoid break in" thread in the locked topics section. There are some good tips in there by others that have had similar experiences.

This is only an idea Butt if the boaties are coping it too, perhaps get some people in numbers together to urge the authorities being the police to apply some resources in the area one afternoon. Plain clothed cops with camera's appearing to be taking photo's of kiter's, then chase them through the dunes bash and cuff em. Find out their juveniles, slap em on the wrist then proceed to let them go to do it all again the next day. [}:)][}:)]

Tom that's a bummer.

The ratepayers, allow the cops 2.5 X overtime to hide behind bushes on Easter weekend taking photos and doing lab tests, but can't find the dough to put up a camera at Woodies and other notorious theft locations?

And the polis want the tourist dollar, bah. Now the same morons who run the police dept. want to plant thousands more trees in Perth.........what is the world coming to. It is obvious why, then there will be more trees for the cops to hide behind, and of course the guys to grow them, and prune them...........too much friggen money in Perth, but much being put in the wrong places...............ahhhhhhhhh needed a good rant.

Its no use crying about the Cops doing nothing!

The official police policy is "Don't leave valuables in your car"

They even put signs in carparks.

I think its a luck thing more than anything, for about 2-3weeks i had pretty much everything i owned in my car, inc laptop, ipod, phone, wallets kites, surfboards etc. and my mates aswell. Didn't get broken into at all and it was all plainly visible. And for those who know me my car was down there pretty much every day there was a hint of wind for long periods of time.

We need to wait in the bushes and catch them in the act and cut their hads off. Oldschool style.

i know there have been quite a few breaks-ins recently at woodies. i didn't hear about any over the summer at all. a steak-out sounds like a good idea seeing as its kind of break-in season at the moment.

I guess in summer there is a lot more movement in the car park.
In winter its empty.
There has been smashed glass in every car park on the way over the past few weeks.
Woodies is dodgy even the fishers complain about it

We need a booby trap car, I volunteer carbines since it's the juciest target out of all ours, no one would rob PR unless they wanted some carpet that smelt of wet dog. When they smash a window we bosch them, simple. Then hang their heads up to the fishing monument on the rock wall, Nothing says obey me like a bloody head on a post.

I agree, we could have a display of heads on sticks on the road up there.
it worked for the medieval mob so it can work for us.
I'll get a knife

this sounds like a great way to get rid of my old C kites that nobody wants to buy.

i'll leave them in there, get them stolen and then claim new ones on insurance. Result!
