I know this is an old message but would like to say these boards rock, they have new shapes out now and new graphics.

Hi. Can anyone tell me if you can give them a design that you have designed yourself, i know you can choose the dynamics of the board but wasn't sure wether they can get the pic done from scratch. If so has anyone had it done and how much roughly did it set you back and were you haapy with it? Cheers

AKG, i am one of the designers for cardboards so can answer this. You can send them your own design, the board price stays the same. You will need to choose which board you want and get the dimensions sent to you for that board, ie 130cm by 39cm for new wake style board. You need to do your design at actual size at 300dpi and send it to them as a flatened .psd file You can contact them via [email protected] and Dan will answer any further questions you may have.

Ran,

Some of the new designs are cool BUT you wouldn't know it because the site looks like it hasn't been update since the 9th Nov 2005.

Some advice on the news section about this may interest some people to look further as well as the fact that the price is now $799

the website is being updated as we speak and should be all done by end of Jan. You can look at new designs in the build your board section only, they are not in the gallery at present. Point taken about news, i will pass this onto Dan.

Are they really made from cardboard?
How do they stop them from going soggy?
I just don't get it

I reckon 'Cardboard' kiteboards is a stupid name.
Dumb marketing.

How about this one for a cool kiteboard brand name.....

I was actually interested in ran's post in terms of sending in your own PSD's.... their website doesn't mention that.

Not that I'll be looking for a custom board in at least the next 12 months...

lol, nah really they are made from high grade cardboard, great flex really, i promise. Yes Gallery will be updated soon with all our latest designs. 99% of the boards done are with graphics we have, we wont be putting one off graphics on the website. sorry. Slipnot are a wicked band and maybe you should make your own boards under that name, cardboards as a brand name may not be to everyones taste, but what really matters is if they ride well (and look good), and thats up to the individual to decide.
