Hello,
I just relocated to the central coast, and I am after a locals perspective of the best beaches to kite at. I live at Ettalong beach. I think that Umina could work well in south easters, and south Avoca and terrigal/wamberal look good for northeasters. Are there areas that are wind magnets, kind of like Dolls pt and Palm beach in Sydney. Any info would be really appreciated.
Cheers

Hey mate,
You got the drift right about the local spots. Umina is great on a SE but does not work that often. I was at Terrigal today on a NE. Very good too with a bit a swell.
But to make it clear this is not WA, you will be disapointed like I have been since I moved here last year. I lived in Perth for 4 years and kited mostly Peli point. I live in Umina so will be keen to catch up for a session.
Cheers,
Fab

just as I thought. Thanks dude. Have you kited up near Norah head?. When I look at the charts It always seems to have fairly strong noreasters compared to everywhere else. I am thinking it could be good on those days when it is only blowing 10-12 knots at Terrigal.
