aft er having my car stolen with kiting gear in it i was informed that my home contents or car insurance does not cover gear stolen from the the car. Apparantly you can get an additional cover for gear taken even if it s not in your house...it is called something like contents anywhere or something....anyway I am going to g et this added to my policy as most of the time I have about 4000 worth of boards and kites in my car - which is a pain to replace
good news is I got the car and all the gear was not taken - just my wallet.
check your policy and learn from my nasty experience. cheers Bruce
i was updating my insurance yesterday with s g i o & they said they were not able to cover my kites away from the house, even as unspecified or specified portable items
